I’d always made personalized coloring books for my four-year-old son. Until I thought: why not personalized bedtime stories too?
So I built a story generator that turns a few simple answers into a lovingly illustrated picture book in minutes – with the child as the hero.
One thing mattered most: I wanted no soulless AI slop. The stories needed a real arc, not just a name dropped into random paragraphs. A beginning, a little tension, a warm resolution. Something that feels like bedtime, not content generation.
The same care went into the visuals. Using GPT-image-2, a state-of-the-art image model, the platform generates premium picture book pages with a consistent hero from page to page – and each illustration shows the scene printed beside it. Small detail, big difference.
By now, it has grown into a full SaaS platform that other parents genuinely enjoy – complete with story generation, image generation, book layout, PDF export, Stripe checkout and one very nice feature: the best stories can be ordered as a printed hardcover, delivered to your door.
